THE BLUEVIEW
President: Eve Nightingale
Dear Friends,
It's hard to believe the
Holidays are already upon us. I hope that in between the madness of
shopping and decorating, you were able to take some time out to attend our Annual Holiday Party on
Tuesday, December 5th at the Woman's Clubhouse. It was another
boisterous evening filled with cheer. Thank you to all who brought
donations for the teens being helped by the Milton Residence Fund and the
Special thanks go out to Venetia Corson, Julie O’Neill, Luisa Thomas and Lisa Rask Viola, who put together a tasty evening of hors d’oeuvres with the Connie Spiros demonstration. There were enough recipes to get any party started. Special thank you to Elaine Davis for letting all of us enjoy her home and her hospitality for this event. It was wonderful to see so many faces.
Our Community Service Committee
was instrumental in gaining volunteers and donations for this past months town
wide drive for Cradle s to Crayons. Attendance was high at Cunningham
Hall, making the work progress quicker than anyone expected. Thank you to
everyone who was able to donate items to this drive. For those of you
unable to attend, we are meeting at the Milton Food Pantry on December 8th
to organize bags for the Christmas holiday. Please contact Kimberly
Zieselman if you are interested.
There is no
scheduled business meeting for December however we still have a few events planned. On December 7th, at Thayer
Nursery, the Programs Committee is hosting our holiday craft. Please call
Amy Chrisom to reserve yourself a spot.
Looking ahead, the annual
meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 2d, 7:30 PM, at the Woman's
Club. I would like everyone to attend this meeting. It is a
great opportunity to learn more about the club, find out how to become more
involved, and just socialize with friends. The next business meeting will
be February 6th. At this time we are looking for someone to
host this meeting from 7:30 to 10 PM. Please contact me if you are able
to host.
I wish you all a very joyful
holiday season and a happy New Years!
