THE BLUEVIEW
President: Laura Conway
Dear
Friends:
With Spring truly upon us,
it means we are starting to kick into full gear preparing for the Road
Race. Sponsorship letters are out and applications are starting to come
in. The Road Race committee is working hard to make this one of the best
but we need everyone's help. Please contact Patti Elliott or Susan
Cantillon to let them know what you can do to help out if you haven't
already. And get the word out to your friends and neighbors to attend!
Many thanks are necessary to those
members who so graciously open their homes for our events. So, to Nancy
Broderick for hosting the March Makeover program, Audrey Gavin for hosting the
Spring New Member Wine and Cheese, Frances Barrett for hosting this month's
business meeting, and to Martina Connelly for hosting the "Cooking with
Connie" this past Thursday.......Thank you! Thank you! Thank
you! It is so wonderful to have members who are willing to open up their
homes and we all truly appreciate it!
Thanks also go out to Holly
Kissane, Sharon Donelan, Susanna Ryan, Jeannine Reardon, Annemarie Loughnane,
Frances Barrett, Jen McNulty, Kristen Lesser and Jean Lang for their donations
for the Fashion Show Raffle Baskets. Look for more info on how you can
help below!
As for upcoming events, I
won't bore you with the details. You can find everything you need
in the newsletter or you can visit our website http://www.miltonjuniorwomansclub.com
and click on the
calendar. Please also look for the list of the books that were
donated to the library on behalf of all the newborns born last year! We
are working on getting the prior years' donation lists but for now, please
check the list and then go check these adorable books out of the library!
Finally, Congratulations to Patty
and Jerald Facey on the birth of their daughter Cara on March 10th.
Congratulations also to Susannah and Micheal Quirion on the birth of their son
Owen on March 12th. Their books will be donated at the end of our
calendar year and we will obtain the list of donations sometime this summer.
Sincerely,
Laura
P.S. Save the Date!! Our Closing
Dinner will be Tuesday, June 20th! Details to follow next
month.

We have begun another Spring Preschool Story Hour in March. The dates are as follows:
March 7 - April 25, 2006. The
kids are already having a ball. Tammy
Vyas, Jennifer Wood and I have been the coordinators of the Preschool Story now
for the past 5 years and although we have enjoyed it immeasurably, we need to
pass on the baton for this coming Fall season.
Anyone that is interested in taking
it on and adding their own touches will be gratefully appreciated. We
have done everything for you. There are two years of lessons plans (Know
as "Year A" and Year B"). There is no heavy lifting for
the next people that take it on. We will provide you with everything you
need to know. Our kids LOVED it and children often remark
how it is "their school."
Please consider this as an opportunity to expand the program and support the
Town of Milton in giving our children and great start in their early education.
Feel Free to contact: Elaine or Tammy.
