Summer Reading Programs Wrap Up
Sparky’s Puppets will perform “Bug Tales” at the Milton Public Library on Monday, July 31, at 7 p.m. Watch a hard-working ant and a dancing grasshopper prepare for winter. Follow the antics of a silly spider. And meet a crafty cockroach who loves to get into mischief. Sparky’s Puppets dramatize favorite children’s stories with humor and audience participation. Sparky’s Puppets will appear courtesy of the Milton Junior Woman’s Club and Friends of the Milton Public Library.
There’s still room in the final StoryCraft session for children entering grades K-2. Participants will be “on the beach” Tuesday, Aug. 1, at 10:30 a.m. for stories with a sea theme and related craft. Registration is required for StoryCraft. Contact the Children’s Room at the library, 617-698-5757, to sign up.
The summer’s final Small Wonders story time for babies and toddlers will be held Wednesday, Aug. 2, at 10:30 a.m. Pajama Time for Tales, stories for children ages 3-5 — and their stuffed furry friends — will wrap up Thursday evening, Aug. 3, at 7 p.m. Both of these programs are “drop-ins” with no sign-up needed.
The “What’s buzzin’” summer reading club will wrap up on Friday, Aug. 4. Children will have until Friday, Aug. 11, to bring in completed reading records and claim prizes.
